INTRODUCTION
Japan Syria Friendship Association “JSFA” is a Non-Governmental Organization established and registered officially in 2003 by Dr. Shihab and H.E. Lt. Gen. Tlass.
The head of JSFA are Chairman, Deputy Chairman, treasurer and Secretary General the assignment officers and executive council directors with honorable executive directors are the top boarders of JSFA. Also it has committees in charge of Culture, Tourism, Public-affairs, International-affairs, Protocol, Media, and Commerce.
Aims & PLANs
JSFA aims at further promotion and cooperation between Japan and Syria namely in Tourism, Business and Cultural exchanges inherited since the time of Silk Road connected the two countries, when such kind of positive activities began.
JSFA would like to strengthen the ties between Japanese-residents in Syria and Syrians born or residing in Japan, to build an open communications while enhancing the profile of the Syrian and Japanese communities, encouraging engaging in life modernization by organizing every possible project to achieve the best relations. We wish that every company or organization from Japan may assist us in order to achieve our goals. So that we can reinstate a modern silk road where our ancestors have built an ever-lasting bridge of love and peace for mankind.
TASKS
- To promote educational and cultural programs, such as exchange visits involving the delegations of both countries.
- To enhance closer communications through appropriate media in both countries for better mutual understandings in regard to information in general.
- To Develop and set up channels for common business shares in order to organize trade fairs, exhibitions of any interests.
- To improve and strengthen ties in travel industries both in Japan and Syria by activating various trips for both societies and assist the Japanese travelers in general.
By Implementing these tasks and plans, JSFA will draw on wealth of talent comprised in its Board of Directors, including political-advisors, economic and educational expertise. Generally speaking, JSFA activity programmers shall be funded from a membership fees, various sources and through Patrons and Honorable Committee which has been set to actively seek out sponsorship and donations.
