On my behalf and on behalf the members of the association administrative board, I extend to his Excellency, the General Chairman of the Association, 1^st Lt. Gen. Dr. Mustafa Tlass very deep thanks on his continuous support and unlimited givingness to our association who has also an active influence on its development, and helping it to strengthen the Syrian-Japanese relations. Moreover, he consolidates it with the obtainable possibilities to be the best.

Long ago, just as Syria had an important role in enhancing and activating the Middle East relations with the Asian Ultimate East through the Silk Road, it still, until now, aspires to achieve this aim and keep in touch with the World generally, with Asia specially, and, strictly speaking, with Japan that the Japanese-Syrian relations were and still until now the most important and inveterate ones. Therefore, our association will not linger to improve and refresh the relations between Syria and Japan. It also will be ready to trust and take up all ideas that strengthen the relations which are based on love between these two countries, so we expect from all our association friends, lovers, and who do not have the chance to know us to visit our website and provide us with their lively ideas that we will adopt as long as they enhance the love and friend relations.

As a Chairman of the Commercial Committee and a Councilor of the board, I thank the 1^st Lt. Gen. Dr. Mustafa Tlass on his permanent supports to the Syrian-Japanese Friendship Association. Moreover, I like to mention to the deep-rooted history of the Syrian-Japanese relationships which have started since the beginning of the Silk Road. Really, I also thank our friends in Japan in all authorities and levels on their support and cooperation on strengthening the relations and working on their persistency which have started, as I have mentioned before, since the date of the commercial road that the forefathers of the friendly people and ours have crossed. Therefore, I invite all the special and general activities which have commercial relationships with Japan to share in reviving this tradition and supporting it by increasing the commercial exchange to be a new Silk Road in our current century that is full of love, peace, and prosperity.

Likewise, I invite our friends, the Japanese, to consolidate and support the commercial activities in regaining the historical Asian glory. Then, our association is perpetually ready to confirm the economical and interactive projects between Syria and Japan.

Finally, we hope, in our future projects and plans, to receive the largest number of the beneficiaries in the two countries and to establish for successful projects.
